Koike starts providing samples of single crystal of garnet-type solid electrolyte, published in Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
KOIKE CO., LTD., in collaboration with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and AIST Solutions Co., Ltd., has succeeded in growing large-diameter single crystal of garnet-type solid electrolyte by Czochralski method and will start supplying samples. Reported in Nihon Keizai Shimbun on November 24, 2023.
KOIKE CO., LTD. has supported a Connected Society through the manufacture and sale of oxide single crystals for telecommunications equipment.
As a result of the manufacturing technology we have cultivated in this field and our joint research with AIST and AIST Solutions Co., Ltd., we are now able to provide samples of single crystal of garnet-type solid electrolyte.
This is a solid electrolyte for high-performance rechargeable batteries and is expected to be used in medical devices and wearables, which require particularly high safety and long life.
Working with AIST and AIST Solutions Co., Ltd., we will continue our efforts to mass produce this product.
